Job summary

McKesson seeks a Senior Manager, Pharmacy Distribution Operations in Plano, TX to lead day-to-day operations at a high-volume automated distribution center within the Central Fill network. You will manage supervisors and teams, drive safety, quality, service, and cost, and partner with the client to align operations with goals.

You will shape continuous improvement, oversee audits, and develop talent while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support regulatory and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree or equivalent in business, supply chain, operations or related field.
• Experience in Central Fill Pharmacy operations and inventory management.
• Licensed Pharmacy Technician or ability to obtain certification.
• Proven CRM skills with on-site customer relationship management.
• Ability to partner on regulatory audits with regulators and customers.
• 9+ years of operations experience with supervisory responsibilities; pharma distribution preferred.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and ROI-focused mindset.
• Knowledge of FDA/DEA/OSHA and Board of Pharmacy requirements.
• Proficient with Excel, Access, PowerPoint; familiarity with WMS tools.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
• Customer-first mindset and ability to develop high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the customer relationship on-site with the co-located client and McKesson as partner.
• Partner on strategy and align operations to meet customer goals and deliver value.
• Lead daily operations including production planning and resource allocation.
• Track KPIs such as Cost per Script, Scripts per Hour, Safety Index, and engagement.
• Ensure safety, accuracy, and regulatory compliance of dispensed medications.
• Support audits and regulatory inspections with customers and agencies.
• Drive improvement in engineering processes, customer support, and costs.
• Develop and coach talent; model McKesson ICARE and ILEAD values.
• Prepare and share performance reports with customers at regular intervals.
• Manage vendor relationships, POs, and budget adherence.
• Lead training programs to keep site audit-ready.
• Support system installations and staffing forecasts for volume shifts.
