Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Senior Manager, Direct Materials - Cell Therapy, to develop category strategies for Cell Therapy materials and oversee cost, quality, and supply requirements. The role spans internal and external manufacturing and testing materials, with focus on strategic category management, supplier governance, and process improvement.

You will collaborate with scientists, operations, and quality teams to drive value, lead major initiatives, and negotiate critical supply

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of business experience, multi-disciplined procurement or related category domain experience.
• Experience working with cross-functional/global teams.
• Stakeholder management, data/information management, category management, process redesign and continuous improvement expertise.
• Procurement process knowledge, contract management, financial and market analysis, supplier management, strategic planning and supply chain experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop global category strategies with regional variations defining purchasing approach.
• Define buying channels and policies to drive compliance and adhere to strategy.
• Develop 3–5 year strategic plan to realize category targets.
• Lead or support major category initiatives including optimization, make/buy analysis, risk management and external innovation.
• Negotiate supply agreements and related agreements (CDA's, Quality Agreements).
• Develop business engagement plan and align priorities of stakeholders.
• Provide market insights to scientists, operations and quality teams to support growth.
• Identify, build, and maintain relationships with suppliers through Supplier Relationship Development programs.
• Develop preferred suppliers within a spend category and manage compliance.
