Senior Manager, Business Data Analysis and Processing

Join us at Pearson as a Senior Manager, Business Data Analysis and Processing. We are seeking a strategic leader to spearhead data research, visualization initiatives, and the modernization of financial systems within our Evaluation Systems unit, a part of Pearson VUE. This role reports to the Vice President of Business Operations and involves leveraging data insights to inform business decisions and transform customer purchasing and invoicing processes.

Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with leadership and tech teams to modernize operations including ordering, payments, and invoicing.
2. Oversee manual processes until automation is implemented.
3. Design and manage data analysis and business intelligence strategies to generate insights, forecast trends, and support decision-making.
4. Apply advanced analytical techniques to identify patterns and optimize performance.
5. Develop data sourcing, validation, transformation, and visualization methods.
6. Create visual representations to facilitate understanding of data concepts and insights.
7. Translate complex data into compelling reports for internal and external stakeholders.
8. Partner with finance teams to analyze revenue, costs, and operational metrics.
9. Engage directly with customers and partners regarding invoicing and financial inquiries.
10. Monitor and refine analytical models to ensure ongoing accuracy and impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, marketing, IT, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in finance, martech, or IT, with a focus on financial systems.
• Proficiency in Excel and data visualization platforms like Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working directly with customers or clients is advantageous.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented, and capable of working independently with high ownership.

Benefits and Compensation
