Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Autonomy Evaluation area, defining strategy, platforms, and execution across perception, prediction, and planning. You will partner with Autonomy, Simulation, Systems, and Safety to drive alignment and impact.

You will guide ML-based evaluation methods, scalable data pipelines, and release-gating readiness while building a high-performing team in a remote/hybrid setting across the United States.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in robotics, autonomous systems software, data analysis, ML evaluation, autonomy analytics, or large-scale data/infrastructure platforms.
• 5+ years of people leadership experience in complex engineering organizations, including leading managers or senior technical leaders.
• Demonstrated ownership of a distinct technical or business area.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy, roadmap, and operating plan for Autonomy Evaluation across methodology, platforms, and infrastructure.
• Define end-to-end evaluation strategy for autonomy performance, including scenario coverage and risk assessment.
• Drive cross-functional alignment with Autonomy, Simulation, Systems, and Safety.
• Oversee evaluation approaches for ML components across perception, prediction, and planning.
• Guide the team in developing new statistical and machine learning methods to quantify performance.
