Job summary

Niron Magnetics is seeking a Senior Manager, Applications Engineering to lead its Applications Engineering team and unlock new end markets for Iron Nitride magnets. You will set strategy, provide deep technical direction, and drive customer engagement from first contact to design wins.

Based in Minneapolis, you will collaborate with Business Development, R&D, and Manufacturing to translate material advantages into device performance and customer value. 10+ years in related fields are expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in applications engineering, electric machines, or technical leadership.
• Experience building and developing high-performing technical teams.
• Direct experience in magnetic materials and/or motor industries preferred.
• Ability to set go-to-market strategy and translate material advantages into products.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Familiar with CRM tools and sales operations best practices.
• Willingness to travel 10–20% to engage customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute applications-led market segmentation, positioning and value propositions.
• Prioritize engagements based on technical readiness and potential revenue.
• Establish reference designs and design rules to accelerate adoption.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with BD, R&D and Manufacturing on customer projects.
• Coordinate and mentor the Applications Engineering team to deliver results.
