Job summary

Renesas Electronics is seeking a Senior Manager Analog Engineering in San Jose to lead a team of analog designers and own the technical direction for configurable mixed-signal ASICs.

You will define specifications with marketing, develop architectures, drive IP requirements, and spearhead verification and QA across design, test, and packaging. Strong leadership and global collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• MSEE and 15 years in analog/mixed-signal design.
• Competent in common analog design practices.
• Experience in precision analog circuitry.
• Experience in power management circuits and high-voltage circuitry (BCD processes).
• Ability to develop system architectures.
• Knowledge of IC development beyond analog (digital flow, packaging, test, QA, product engineering).
• Strong communication in a global environment.
• Coaching and mentoring of team members.

Responsibilities

• Define product specifications with product definition and marketing to gain competitive advantage.
• Develop the product architecture to optimize performance, power and die size.
• Specify requirements for individual IPs used in the product.
• Collaborate with project manager to define development plan for design, verification, and layout.
• Develop a comprehensive analog and mixed-signal verification plan.
• Lead high-quality product development with peer reviews and documentation.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams on test development, product engineering, bench evaluation, and QA.
• Mentor and develop the team.
