Job summary

Teradata seeks a Senior Manager – AI Platform to lead the evolution of our autonomous, AI-driven platform. You will guide a multidisciplinary team of engineers and data scientists, ensuring the platform is performant, extensible, and production-ready.

You will shape product and data science strategy, collaborate with AI/ML research and product teams, and drive architectural decisions for scalable, cloud-native systems powering multi-agent workflows at enterprise scale.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in software/platform engineering or data science.
• 3+ years in engineering management or technical leadership roles overseeing AI-driven initiatives.
• Proven experience building and scaling distributed systems or cloud platforms in production environments.
• Strong background in backend development, APIs, infrastructure, or platform architecture.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML platforms, LLM integrations, and data science methodologies.
• Proven experience with vector databases, semantic search, feature stores, and end-to-end data science pipelines.
• Strong project management skills with cross-functional collaboration and executive stakeholder engagement.
• Passion for building platforms that enable autonomous AI-powered systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering and data science roadmap for the AI Platform.
• Define requirements for capabilities like predictive modeling, memory, planning, and multi-agent collaboration.
• Drive design and implementation of core platform services including API gateways and data pipelines.
• Oversee integrations with third-party tools and internal data science services.
• Guide cloud-native development, observability, and security practices.
• Mentor and grow a high-performing team of engineers and data scientists.
• Ensure alignment with evolving AI product needs and downstream applications.
• Promote technical excellence through code/design reviews and reliability practices.
• Shape long-term strategy for agentic workflows powered by data science.
