Job summary

Cox Enterprises seeks an experienced engineering leader to guide Engineering Enablement across the enterprise. You will shape platform roadmaps, scale AI-enabled workflows, and mentor a distributed team of engineers and contractors to improve developer productivity and delivery speed.

The ideal candidate combines deep platform engineering judgment with hands-on experience in AI-assisted development tools, and can translate ambiguous needs into a clear, actionable strategy aligned with enterprise

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with 8+ years in a related field or equivalent combination (e.g., master's degree with 6+ years).
Proven track record building or scaling internal developer platforms and engineering enablement capabilities.
Experience leading distributed teams of engineers and contractors across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional engineering teams responsible for Engineering Enablement platforms and services.
Drive strategic vision and execution of engineering enablement initiatives for enterprise software delivery.
Oversee AI-powered capabilities, tools, and workflows across engineering teams (AI coding assistants, agentic tools, AI-driven platform services).
Ensure platform scalability, reliability, and alignment with enterprise standards including AI tooling integrations.
Collaborate with technology, product, and engineering leaders to improve developer experience and accelerate delivery outcomes.
Develop and mentor engineering talent across a distributed organization of FTEs and contractors.
