Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive full-stack design and delivery across compact teams, blending deep engineering with an AI-first mindset. You will prototype rapidly using GenAI tools and lead architectural decisions for web, mobile, and backend systems.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with product managers and QA, and champion quality, reliability, and fast cycle delivery in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years in a related field.
• Experience with web/mobile/backend stacks across React/TypeScript, Flutter/Dart, Python/Node.js.
• 2+ years of hands-on AWS serverless experience (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB).
• Proven track record leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers.
• Experience prototyping with AI/GenAI tools in a professional setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and set architectural direction.
• Decompose epics into implementation plans with clear ownership.
• Review designs, code changes, and PRs for quality and security.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigations.
• Build and maintain full-stack applications across core stack.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines and IaC (CDK/SAM) and blue/green deployments.
• Ensure production readiness with observability and tests.
