Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Lead Architect within the CAI Architecture Team to drive the architectural vision across inventory management, deal initiation, and service platforms. You will lead design from discovery to delivery, partner with engineering and product leaders, and champion AI-enabled platform modernization.

The role requires advancing platform health, managing technical debt, and delivering scalable API solutions in a AWS-centric environment while guiding multiple delivery teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 6+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Ability to align diverse stakeholders around technical direction and drive consensus across engineering, product, and business teams.
• Analytical and capable of rapid proof-of-concepts and experimentation.
• Breadth of architectural knowledge spanning application, integration, and platform domains.
• Extensive experience in API delivery at scale.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve architectural vision, translating business priorities into durable technical direction across multiple delivery teams.
• Drive solution design from discovery through delivery, shaping epics and surfacing risks early.
• Partner with engineering, product, and agile leaders to prioritize architectural investments.
• Identify and reduce technical debt in deal initiation surface and legacy integrations.
• Champion adoption of common tenancy and AWS-native patterns within the value stream.
• Identify and champion generative AI usage in new products aligning with platform capabilities.
• Produce and maintain architectural artifacts to guide teams.
• Evaluate emerging technologies like Gen AI for applicability to use cases.
