L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Manager of Systems Engineering for Acoustics & Imaging Systems to lead cross-discipline teams and drive program execution. You will own scope, schedule, and budget across complex programs, aligning with senior leadership to ensure rapid, safe, and compliant delivery.

The role emphasizes building scalable teams, implementing repeatable processes, and advancing Agile practices while maintaining safety and verification standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of related experience, or graduate degree with 10+ years.
• At least 5 years of management and cross-functional leadership experience.
• At least 4 years of experience driving execution across multi-discipline engineering teams.
• At least 4 years of experience with workforce planning, staffing, recruiting, and talent development.
• At least 2 years of experience with EVMS/CAM responsibilities and proposal development.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience with program execution frameworks, schedule/cost performance, and risk-driven technical planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-discipline engineering teams or a department, including planning, staffing, execution, and continuous improvement.
• Own scope, schedule, budget, and technical quality across projects, pursuits, and programs.
• Implement and scale an integrated operating model with clear role ownership, decision rights, and accountability.
• Establish repeatable engineering processes, common tools, and shared metrics to enable segment-wide interoperability.
• Lead cross-functionally across a portfolio of programs to align priorities and deliver results.
• Build and maintain workforce and staffing plans to ensure the right talent capacity for current and future business needs.
• Own recruiting, hiring, performance management, coaching, succession planning, and development of high-performing teams.
• Drive disciplined engineering rigor and verification practices to improve first-time-right execution and reduce rework.
• Enable Agile delivery and rapid prototyping/simulation approaches while maintaining safety, compliance, and mission assurance requirements.
• Partner with Program Management, Chief Engineers, and functional peers on proposal activities, cost estimates, basis of estimate, and manpower planning.
• Communicate and influence effectively across internal and external stakeholders on matters of substantial importance.
• Ability to travel up to 25% (or as required by business needs).
• Ability to obtain and maintain required U.S. Government security clearances (minimum Secret).
