Harris Miller Miller & Hanson Inc. (HMMH) is seeking a Senior Managing Consultant to lead and grow our Military Acoustics portfolio within the Federal Programs Group.

The role blends strategic leadership with hands-on analysis, project management, and client engagement across defense markets. You will guide complex, multi-disciplinary projects from proposal through delivery, mentor staff, and drive growth through federal engagements, acoustical modeling, and NEPA-related services.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical field (Aerospace Eng, Acoustics, Environmental Science, Physics).
• 8+ years in environmental noise modeling or military acoustics.
• Experience with NOISEMAP/MR_NMAP and related models.
• Strong project management and client engagement experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in military environmental and acoustical consulting.
• Manage complex, multidisciplinary projects from proposal through delivery, ensuring timeliness and budget adherence.
• Lead proposal development for federal projects and oversee scope, budgeting, and narratives.
• Collaborate on growth strategies in defense and aerospace markets.
• Serve as SME in military aviation noise modeling and land use planning (AICUZ/RAICUZ).
• Lead noise simulations for aircraft operations using NOISEMAP, MR_NMAP, AEDT, PCBoom.
