Job summary

Cherry Bekaert LLP’s CFO Advisory – Accounting Advisory practice is growing, inviting a Senior Manager to join our national practice with hybrid flexibility (or remote for the right resource) and travel for projects as needed.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of accounting experience, strong US GAAP knowledge, and the ability to mentor staff and drive growth. CPA and/or MBA is preferred; ready to lead complex engagements with integrity and urgency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with strong US GAAP understanding.
• 7+ years of experience in a public accounting firm or industry environment performing audit, accounting or consulting services.
• Sufficient experience with technical accounting, understanding of accounting processes and internal controls.
• Interest in and experience with technical accounting matters.
• Able to navigate ambiguous and complex client assignments.
• Professional service network and interest in sales preferred.
• Proven ability to scope, present and sell client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver accounting advisory engagements, including technical accounting consultations, new standards implementation, reconciliations, financial statement prep, and on-demand support.
• Direct activities of junior professionals and participate in client discussions with CFOs, Controllers, and business owners.
• Lead planning, fieldwork, wrap-up and deliverable composition across engagements.
• Maintain strong client relationships and drive engagement objectives.
• Advise on accounting system selection and implementation, aligning processes with technology partners.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
