About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Manager, Accounting to lead and oversee our accounting operations. This role is responsible for managing the monthly close process, compliance, and internal controls, while mentoring a team of accountants. The ideal candidate has a strong background in GAAP, excellent leadership skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do:

  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with US GAAP (or IFRS, as applicable).
  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring all audit requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations.
  • Design, implement, and monitor internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Collaborate with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and improve financial processes.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Ad-hoc duties as required.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively across departments.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in taxes (both income/franchise and those resulting from sales).
  • Familiarity with international compliance and regulatory frameworks – UK, Ireland, Australia, Canada, US, Poland, China a plus.
  • Audit experience at a public accounting firm.
