My client, a top Financial Tech Company, is hiring a Senior Manager of Accounting

Location: Remote or Hybrid (Flexible)

A fast-growing Financial Technology company is hiring a Senior Manager – Accounting ) to lead client engagements within our nonprofit vertical. This is a confidential search to replace a key leadership role. The ideal candidate will bring strategic financial insight, leadership, and deep nonprofit accounting experience to support a portfolio of mission-driven clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the full life cycle of assigned client engagements
• Serve as a strategic advisor on technical accounting issues, policies, and financial management best practices
• Oversee client satisfaction, performance tracking, billing, and issue resolution
• Manage special projects, including interim Controller/CFO roles as needed
• Identify cross-sell opportunities and contribute to business development
• Foster strong client relationships and maintain high service quality
• Supervise and mentor managers and staff on client engagements
• Deliver performance evaluations and support ongoing development
• Ensure training and adoption of relevant tools, systems, and resources

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• Master’s or MBA preferred

Experience:

• 10+ years in finance/accounting with a strong nonprofit focus
• 7+ years of hands-on accounting system management
• Proven experience with project/grant reporting and federal award requirements
• Prior CFO or senior financial leadership experience in nonprofit environments preferred
• Familiarity with OMB cost principles and cost allocation methodologies

Certifications:

• CPA preferred

Software Proficiency:

• Strong in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Experience with Intacct, MAS 90, MS Dynamics, and QuickBooks
• Familiarity with nonprofit/member management software and budgeting tools is a plus
