Job summary

Kairos Power seeks a Senior Manager, Engineering Operations to lead and scale 24/7 engineering operations and test execution. You will supervise multidisciplinary teams, drive safety, and plan for rapid growth in a high-hazard environment.

The role will begin in Albuquerque, NM for ~12 months and transition to Oak Ridge, TN. Ideal candidate has a strong track record in industrial operations, nuclear/chemical plants, and experience with operational readiness, training, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or closely related field; MS/ MBA/ PhD preferred.
• 8+ years in energy, nuclear, chemical, or high-hazard operations with leadership experience.
• Extensive experience with P&IDs, SCADA, instrumentation, or industrial control systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision and direction for 24/7 engineering operations.
• Develop long-term plans to expand operations capabilities and reliability.
• Lead diverse teams of managers, operators, and engineers; develop leaders at all levels.
• Oversee readiness reviews, execution protocols, and post-test analysis.
• Ensure nuclear safety culture and compliance with NRC policies.
