Job summary

Providence Facey Medical Foundation is seeking a Mammography Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic mammography under the direction of a Radiologist. The role requires independent judgment, with initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.

Qualified candidates will have California Mammographic Radiologic Technology Certification, National Registered Technologist - Mammography, BLS within 30 days, and 2 years of clinical/hospital experience including 1 year

Qualifications

• Certification and licensure requirements must be met at hire.
• California Mammographic Radiologic Technology Certification required at hire.
• National Registered Technologist - Mammography required at hire.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a Radiologist, perform mammographic procedures at a technical level with some independent judgment.
• Assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.

Job description

Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs mammographic procedures at a technical level requiring no constant supervision of technical detail. Performs mammography procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures, as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
• Upon hire: California Mammographic Radiologic Technology Certification.
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Mammography.
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 2 years' experience in a clinical or hospital environment.
• 1 yearClinical Mammography experience.
