Job summary

AEP is seeking a Procurement Manager, Major Projects, to serve as the primary procurement partner for assigned transmission capital projects. You will lead procurement integration across materials, equipment, services, and contracting, embedded within the project team, to support successful delivery.

You will develop integrated procurement plans, align with project milestones, and provide executive visibility into readiness and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination.
• Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives without direct authority.
• Experience on large capital transmission projects, infrastructure, or utility programs.
• PMP, CPSM, CPSD, SCM, or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary procurement liaison for assigned major projects, coordinating with project leadership.
• Develop, maintain, and drive the integrated project procurement plan across milestones.
• Translate project schedules into coordinated procurement, sourcing, contracting, and material execution plans.
• Represent material and capacity requirements in portfolio planning and prioritization decisions.
• Maintain procurement dashboards and risk registers for milestones, supplier capacity, and commercial issues.
• Coordinate cross-functional execution across Transmission COE, Category Management, PPO, Sourcing, Contracts, Engineering, and more.
• Communicate procurement readiness, risks, and key decisions to project leadership.
