Job summary

Harvard University is seeking a Senior Regional Director to lead sophisticated cultivation and solicitation strategies for major gifts from an 85–100 household portfolio in Growth Markets. The role partners with campus leaders and volunteers to advance multi-school giving and ensure significant annual outcomes.

The incumbent will travel frequently, coordinate with FAS Development and UD Office colleagues, and mentor other fundraisers while maintaining accurate prospect records and timely

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in university fundraising or relevant transferable experience.
  • You will be expected to work certain events/campus activities, such as reunions each Spring, and participate in department retreats that are taking place on campus in Cambridge, MA.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a targeted portfolio of approximately 85-100 households in an assigned Growth Markets region.
  • Meet or exceed assigned fundraising goals with blended solicitations and multi-vehicle gifts.
  • Develop deep understanding of prospect interests through face-to-face and virtual meetings.
  • Lead multi-step prospect strategies leveraging Harvard leadership to close six- to seven-figure gifts.
