Job summary

Porter-Gaud School is seeking a Director of Major Gifts to advance our capital campaign priorities and build long-term philanthropic relationships. The role focuses on identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors capable of $100,000+ gifts to support operations, capital, and endowment needs.

Reporting to the Director of Advancement, this position requires strategic prospecting, data-driven stewardship, and active collaboration with school leadership to achieve

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 2 years of frontline fundraising experience, including major gifts.
• Experience with constituent management database systems is required; Raiser's Edge NXT preferred.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and database systems.
• Understands ethical standards for fundraising and upholds donor privacy.

Responsibilities

• Manage a personal portfolio of 70 major donors and prospects with gifts of $100,000+.
• Conduct at least 100 qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship meetings annually.
• Submit at least 18 major gift proposals per year aligned with priorities.
• Utilize moves management to track progress and report on portfolio health.
• Collaborate with Advancement and Alumni teams to recruit donors and plan events.
