Job summary

Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP) seeks a Philanthropic Advisor to lead a $250,000+ major gifts portfolio and advance principal gift prospects. The role blends frontline fundraising with pipeline development, working closely with senior leadership and lay volunteers.

Hybrid work model; regular donor travel and in-person visits are expected as part of comprehensive campaign efforts to grow donor engagement and impact locally and globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5–7 years of development experience with frontline major gifts.
• Demonstrated success soliciting and closing gifts at $100,000+ levels.
• Experience with discovery/qualification and building a pipeline.
• Familiarity with Donor Advised Funds and planned gifts.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; discretion with donor info.

Responsibilities

• Manage a major gift portfolio of $250,000+ prospects and principal gift targets.
• Lead or co-lead solicitations for gifts at the $250,000+ level.
• Develop individualized donor strategies and steward relationships.
• Support the comprehensive campaign and donor engagement initiatives.
• Coordinate with Annual Campaign, Gift Planning, and leadership volunteers.
