Job summary

Advanced Technology Services in Augusta, GA, is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to perform expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance on factory equipment. You will diagnose root causes, source parts, and collaborate with planners to optimize maintenance procedures, including machining and welding tasks where required.

You will work with safety standards, apply predictive techniques, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives; some travel may be required to service

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
• Associates degree with a Technical focus and 5 years of related experience in specific industry; or, 7 years of experience in specific industry.
• Experience in predictive technologies, precision alignments, and general maintenance of applicable process equipment.
• Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems. Can analyze the problem, synthesize alternative solutions, and perform repairs.
• Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate.
• Experience in vibration analysis or laser interferometer operations, precision alignments, and maintenance of applicable process equipment.
• May be required to travel.

Responsibilities

• Performs expert level break-fix & preventative maintenance, locating root cause and repairing parts.
• Identifies and sources parts, supplies and repair items; evaluates alternatives for cost/reliability.
• Independently performs maintenance per industry standards.
• Leads CI activities and drives cost savings using CI tools and methodology.
• May operate multiple machining operations and perform welding tasks.
