Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Recycling Center Lead Maintenance Technician to direct a team of technicians, perform repairs and maintenance on recycling and related equipment, and ensure safety standards and regulatory compliance.

The role covers diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and supervision of work orders, with focus on efficient, safe operations in a recycling center environment. Strong PLC, electrical, and mechanical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of equipment maintenance and repair experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Working knowledge of Tier 4 emission systems.
• Welding and/or fabrication experience.
• PLC programming experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical problems with hydraulics, conveyors, balers and electrical systems.
• Coach technicians on diagnostics and schedule repairs for safe, timely completion.
• Troubleshoot and maintain complex electromechanical equipment.
• Operate field service reports and maintenance ERP entries.
