Job summary

Amgen Rhode Island site is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician Nights to perform advanced maintenance and repair across manufacturing and laboratories, ensuring reliability and compliance with established procedures. You will manage tasks in manufacturing, Process Development, and Quality Analytical Labs, maintaining safe, accurate documentation and effective communication with operators.

The role requires a 12-hour night shift (7 PM–7 AM) on a rotating schedule, with a 15% shift

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 2 years utilities maintenance or military experience.
• Associate degree with 6 months utilities maintenance or military experience.
• 5+ years in mechanical maintenance, especially sanitary processing equipment.
• 3+ years pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems experience.
• Experience in cGMP regulated environments.
• Experience using Maximo CMMS for work orders.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and technical documentation.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication; cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and systems.
• Support equipment across Manufacturing, Process Development, and Quality labs.
• Document maintenance activities and work orders in Maximo CMMS.
• Communicate status and issues with operators and stakeholders.
• Identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide maintenance support outside normal hours as needed.
