Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician in Mount Vernon, IL to keep the facility operating and repair system problems as soon as discovered. You will perform complex maintenance on pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and conveyor systems and mentor junior technicians.

The role requires hands-on experience with industrial electricity, PLCs, servo drives, and related equipment, along with the ability to work at height and lift heavy parts as needed. A strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

3+ years of maintenance experience in a facility, distribution and/or manufacturing environment, or an Associate degree in Industrial or Maintenance Technology with at least 1 year of maintenance experience.
Experience with industrial electricity including single-phase and three-phase power, motors, protective devices.
Experience with electronics such as photo sensors, PLCs, remote I/O modules, servo drives, VFDs and scanning systems.
Able to climb to the 100-foot level and lift up to 50 pounds, with repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and walking.

Responsibilities

Performs preventive maintenance tasks and complex mechanical repairs on DC equipment.
Uses CMMS to maintain distribution machinery per manufacturer recommendations and good maintenance practices.
Mentors and develops Maintenance Technicians under management direction.
Maintains a safe work environment by addressing safety issues related to material-handling equipment or DC facility.
