Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to keep our distribution center facilities operating and to repair problems as soon as discovered. This role focuses on complex maintenance of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and conveyor systems to minimize downtime.

You will perform preventive maintenance, use CMMS to track equipment, and mentor junior technicians while ensuring a safe work environment in a fast-paced distribution setting.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years maintenance experience in a facility, distribution or manufacturing environment or a related military background.
• Experience with industrial electricity (single-phase and three-phase), motors and protective devices.
• Experience with electronics such as photo sensors, PLCs, remote I/O modules, servo drives and VFDs.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance tasks and complex mechanical repairs on DC equipment.
• Uses CMMS to maintain distribution machinery per manufacturer recommendations and good practices.
• Mentors and develops Maintenance Technicians and Senior Maintenance Technicians.
• Maintains a safe work environment by addressing safety issues related to material-handling equipment and DC facilities.
