Job summary

Sabert Corporation is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for our Richmond, VA facility. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and building systems to minimize downtime and support safety, quality, and efficiency goals.

Work closely with operations, engineering, and safety teams to troubleshoot, repair, and improve equipment reliability. Prior experience with SAP CMMS and PLCs is highly valued, with ongoing training and career growth opportunities

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; technical cert or trade school preferred.
Electrical certification preferred.
Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
Ability to diagnose and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
Able to read blueprints, equipment drawings, manuals, and training materials.
Experience using SAP or similar CMMS is preferred.
Able to work independently and in a team.
Reliable with attendance and overtime flexibility.
Must pass a written skills assessment.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and plant utilities using SAP work orders.
Conduct daily inspections to identify issues impacting safety, quality, or efficiency.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems including PLCs, relays, motors, and AC/DC circuits.
Identify root causes and recommend long-term solutions for recurring issues.
Train operators on basic maintenance checks and equipment care.
Maintain maintenance records in SAP with time, parts, and notes.
Coordinate with Maintenance Manager and vendors for major repairs.
Submit requisitions for replacement parts and suggest critical spares.
Adhere to safety programs including LOTO, Arc Flash, GMP, OSHA.
