Job summary

Employvision Inc. in Sandston, VA seeks a hands-on maintenance technician to perform preventive and predictive maintenance on facility machinery, troubleshoot faults, and write or update SOPs and JSAs.

You will complete daily maintenance logs, lock out tag out procedures, communicate with operators across shifts, and keep work areas and tools secure.

Additional duties include PLC programming, on-the-job training for new employees, and ordering parts as needed.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and arithmetic skills are required.
• Advanced skills in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, piping, and/or PLC programming are required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Manual dexterity for operating machinery and computers.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair facility machinery.
• Write and maintain SOPs and JSAs.
• Complete daily maintenance and repair logs.
• Communicate with operators from other shifts.
• Maintain and secure work tools.
• Clear, clean, and maintain work area.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Program PLCs (Additional Responsibilities).
• Provide on-line training for new employees.
• Order tools and machinery inventory parts.
