Job summary

White Lodging is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician at our Austin, TX properties to uphold the highest standards of hotel operations. You will support the Chief Engineer and oversee routine maintenance, repairs, and safety procedures to ensure guest comfort.

The role requires reading blueprints, basic safety knowledge, and 1–3 years of technical experience in hospitality or facilities maintenance. A high school diploma and a trade school credential are preferred, with opportunities for

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and operating instructions.
• Valid driver’s license and basic safety knowledge.
• High school diploma or equivalent; one year of trade school or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of general technical experience, preferably in hotels or facilities maintenance.
• Lift up to 10 lbs regularly and 25 lbs occasionally; stand/move for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the hotel’s maintenance and upkeep standards meet WL, Brand, and Guest standards.
• Support Chief Engineer in overseeing all aspects of the Engineering function.
• Follow departmental procedures for repair, maintenance, alteration, and installation safely.
• Provide advice and support other engineers as needed.
• Identify and repair mechanical failures including appliances, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Maintain communications to ensure materials/tools are available.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
