Job summary

Lodging Host Hotel Corp. in Austin is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to uphold our Homewood Suites Austin South/Airport location. You will join the maintenance team to keep facilities in safe, optimal condition and coordinate with renovations as needed.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with hotel maintenance, strong knowledge of building systems, and a solid grasp of health and safety regulations. A proactive, detail-oriented communicator is essential.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a hotel maintenance engineer or similar role.
Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating, etc.)
Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations
An eye for detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
High school diploma required; Degree from a vocational school will be a plus
Professional Certifications (e.g. CMRP or HVAC certified) are a plus

Responsibilities

Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
Perform preventative maintenance throughout the property.
Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation etc.)
Monitor inventory of materials and equipment
Participate in coordination of projects (e.g. renovations)
Ensure adherence to brand quality standards and national, state, and local health and safety regulations
