White Lodging in Austin, TX is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to uphold hotel maintenance and upkeep standards, while supporting the Chief Engineer and supervising engineering tasks to keep the property safe and guest-ready.

The role requires 3–5 years of related experience, ability to read blueprints, and a hands-on trade skill set with a proactive maintenance mindset. Duties include coordinating repairs and training peers to maintain top-quality service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and knowledge of safety practices.
• Minimum 3–5 years in related field, or 1–2 years + trade education.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications.
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs regularly and 25 lbs occasionally; stand/move for long periods.

Responsibilities

• The Lead Maintenance Technician ensures maintenance standards meet WL, Brand, and Guest expectations.
• Support Chief Engineer in overseeing all Engineering functions.
• Follow departmental procedures for repairs, maintenance, alterations, and installations safely.
• Provide training and technical advice to other engineers as needed.
• Identify and repair mechanical failures including appliances, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Maintain communications with supervisors for material and supply needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
