Job summary

LightForce Orthodontics is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to serve as a senior technical resource within Maintenance Operations. You will troubleshoot, repair, and improve production equipment and facility systems, mentoring junior technicians while supporting compliant manufacturing operations.

You will lead maintenance programs, calibration efforts, and reliability improvements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure equipment uptime and process efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with technical training preferred.
• Journeyman or technical school program completion is strongly preferred.
• 3+ years in industrial maintenance in regulated environments or medical device manufacturing.
• Experience with PM, corrective maintenance, and continuous improvement activities.
• Experience in GMP/ISO or similar regulated industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead diagnosis, troubleshooting and repair of complex equipment and facility systems.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting on furnaces, compressed air, and electrical systems.
• Manage calibration programs with traceability and scheduling.
• Provide escalation support and coaching for junior technicians.
• Ensure compliance with LOTO and safety procedures across shifts.
• Review and improve PM task lists to boost reliability.
• Lead root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
• Train, mentor and document technician development and records.
• Support new equipment installations and facility upgrade projects.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, QA and operations to reduce downtime.
