Job summary

UDR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to work at Jefferson at Marina del Rey and Tierra del Rey in Marina del Rey, CA. You will deliver first-class service to residents and ensure timely, high-quality maintenance at our apartment communities.

You are expected to handle electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repairs, while mentoring teammates and managing vendor interactions. This role includes after-hours on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Maintenance Technician in multi-family, hospitality, or similar industry.
• Proficiency in residential plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, painting and drywall.
• HVAC and carpentry knowledge is a plus.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification required.
• High school or equivalent preferred.
• EPA Type I certification preferred.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain community appearance and report deficiencies promptly.
• Respond to resident requests and restore service per standards.
• Ensure apartments are ready for occupancy with required maintenance.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory.
• Assist Maintenance Manager with vendor management and purchasing.
• Foster positive resident relationships and meet expectations.
• In manager's absence, lead and supervise service team.
• Mentor new Maintenance Technicians and Apprentices.
• Provide superior customer service to customers.
• After hours on-call rotation is required.
