Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to install, repair, and maintain plant equipment, buildings, and production machinery in a manufacturing facility. The role involves using mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical skills to ensure continuous operation and product quality.

You will work with blueprints and specifications, perform diagnostics, and lead minor repair work, while adhering to safety standards and preventive maintenance schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years related maintenance mechanic experience.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow safety rules for hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Perform machine shop duties (tool & die) as directed.
• Work on highly technical projects and make data-driven decisions.
• Install and repair electrical equipment (generators, transformers, switchboards, motors, etc.).
• Use welding equipment (arc, acetylene, brazing, flame cutting) for layout and fixtures.
• Diagnose and correct electrical system issues using standard load calculations.
• Inspect machinery to ensure production meets specs and quality standards.
• Follow preventive maintenance programs and conduct inspections.
• Perform building repairs as needed and notify for major repairs.
• Provide on-the-job direction to new maintenance staff and assist in maintenance tasks.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in the work area.

Education
