Job summary

Toyota Heavy Duty in East Chicago, IN is seeking a Maintenance Technician 3 to perform maintenance and repair on facility and equipment, including electrical and mechanical systems. This hands-on role requires teamwork and a proactive approach.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs/HMIs, CNCs, and mechanical troubleshooting with a safety-first mindset. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems including AC/DC, motors, relays, transformers, sensors and safety circuits.
• Experience with industrial controls such as PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, and motion controls.
• Knowledge of CNC controls, machine electrical systems, servo systems, spindles, tool changers, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, ladder logic, wiring diagrams, hydraulic diagrams and mechanical drawings.
• Mechanical troubleshooting knowledge including bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, and pumps.
• Commitment to safety and Lockout/Tagout procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on CNC machines and other automated manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, motion controls and other industrial control systems.
• Troubleshoot CNC controls, servo systems, spindles, tool changers and related machine components.
• Support installation, startup, commissioning, and continuous improvement of equipment.
• Partner with Production Engineering and Manufacturing to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
