Job summary

Toyota Material Handling North America seeks a Maintenance Technician in East Chicago, IN for a hands‑on in‑plant role. You will perform maintenance on CNC machines and automated equipment, troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems while collaborating with a diverse team to minimize downtime.

The role emphasizes cross‑training, safety, and continuous improvement within a Toyota environment.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including AC/DC circuits, motors, relays, transformers, sensors, and safety circuits.
Experience with industrial control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, and motion controls.
Knowledge of CNC controls, machine electrical systems, servo systems, spindles, tool changers, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on CNC machines and other automated manufacturing equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, motion controls, and other industrial control systems.
