Job summary

Spectrum Staffing Services is seeking an experienced maintenance professional for a stable, full-time role in our New Jersey manufacturing client. You will own preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot complex equipment, and drive improvements across production and facility systems.

This hands-on position requires independence, strong problem-solving, and meticulous record-keeping. You will coordinate with vendors, manage spare parts, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Respond quickly to equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate repairs, installations, and maintenance projects with outside vendors.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and ensure critical supplies are available.
  • Keep maintenance records, work orders, and documentation up to date.
  • Support equipment upgrades, facility improvements, and capital projects.
  • Ensure maintenance activities meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Organize technical manuals, schematics, and electronic maintenance files.
  • Work cross-functionally to improve equipment reliability and plant performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Respond to equipment issues quickly to minimize production downtime.
  • Coordinate repairs, installations, and maintenance projects with outside vendors when needed.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and ensure critical maintenance supplies are available.
  • Keep maintenance records, work orders, and documentation accurate and up to date.
  • Support equipment upgrades, facility improvements, and capital projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical training in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or a related trade.
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to manage maintenance records, reports, spare parts inventory, and project tracking.
  • Comfortable working independently with strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
