Now Hiring: Senior Maintenance Technician
We are seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations by providing advanced electrical and mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair expertise. This role is responsible for maintaining production equipment, improving equipment reliability, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have extensive hands‑on experience troubleshooting complex electro‑mechanical systems, reading technical drawings and schematics, and performing repairs with minimal supervision. This position plays a key role in minimizing downtime, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring manufacturing equipment operates safely and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on manufacturing equipment and automated systems.
- Diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs in a timely, safe, and cost‑effective manner.
- Lead complex repair activities involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Troubleshoot motors, drives, controls, sensors, wiring, and electro‑mechanical components.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, manuals, and technical documentation.
- Dismantle, repair, modify, align, and rebuild machinery and production equipment.
- Perform equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications in partnership with Engineering and Operations teams.
- Conduct machine alignment checks and make necessary corrective adjustments.
- Operate and maintain shop equipment, including:
- Lathe machines for precision machining of cylindrical components, threads, bores, tapers, and related features.
- Milling machines for machining slots, pockets, contours, and precision surfaces.
- Support root cause investigations related to equipment failures and recommend long‑term solutions.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and repair documentation.
- Train and provide guidance to less experienced maintenance technicians when needed.
- Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory procedures.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical degree, trade school, or industrial maintenance training preferred.
- 4–6+ years of hands‑on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong background in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Experience repairing and maintaining production machinery and manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams.
- Experience with basic electrical wiring, welding, plumbing, machining, and fabrication.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and respond effectively to production needs.
Preferred Experience:
- CNC machinery, automated manufacturing equipment, or precision manufacturing experience.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and reliability improvements.
- Background in aerospace, defense, medical device, automotive, or other regulated manufacturing industries.
- Experience mentoring junior maintenance team members.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing/industrial facility setting.
- Requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working around machinery.
- Hands‑on role in an indoor production environment.
