Job summary
FCC Environmental Services, LLC is seeking a skilled Plant Mechanic in California to perform plant preventative maintenance and scheduled repairs on fixed equipment at our Material Recovery Facility and C&D Waste Facility. You will diagnose mechanical problems, repair recycling machinery, replace belts and motors, and manage parts inventories while adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications
- At least 5+ years of industrial experience or equivalent.
- Proficient troubleshooting of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Proficient PLC troubleshooting and practical electrical aptitude.
- Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and trade certificate.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose or troubleshoot mechanical problems using manuals and charts.
- Repair and maintain recycling and C&D equipment for safe operations.
- Replace conveyor belts, motors, cylinders, and other parts.
- Manage inventories, stock levels, and parts orders.
- Use hand, power, and electrical tools; fabricate parts as needed.
- Cut with torch and weld; repair plumbing, electrical, and HVAC as needed.
- Adhere to safety policies and work at heights with lifts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
