Job summary

FCC Environmental Services, LLC is seeking a Plant Mechanic to oversee preventive maintenance and repairs of fixed equipment at the Material Recovery Facility and C&D operations. Under Plant Maintenance Manager supervision, you will diagnose mechanical issues and perform scheduled maintenance to maximize safe, productive operations.

The role requires hands-on skills with hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC troubleshooting, welding, and fabrication.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
At least 2 years of industrial experience or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
PLC troubleshooting and electrical/mechanical aptitude.
Experience in a manufacturing environment with conveyors.
Valid driver’s license and trade school certification.

Responsibilities

Diagnose or troubleshoot mechanical problems using charts, manuals and expertise.
Perform repairs and maintenance on recycling equipment and C&D equipment to maximize safe and productive operations.
Replace conveyor belts, electrical motors, hydraulic cylinders and other mechanical parts.
Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock and placing orders.
Use hand tools, power tools and electrical tools; fabricate repair parts.
Weld and cut with a torch; install plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems as needed.
Follow safety policies and work at heights using appropriate equipment.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
