Job summary

PrimeSites in Hastings, NE is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician II to keep apartment communities safe, functional, and inviting. You will diagnose and repair HVAC, appliances, plumbing, electrical, and other systems while delivering excellent resident service.

This role requires independent work, physical agility, and a commitment to safety. You will participate in an on-call rotation and must pass a background check and provide three professional references.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of maintenance experience in multifamily or commercial settings.
• EPA Section 608 HVAC Certification required.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems.
• Experience troubleshooting residential appliances (refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, and laundry equipment).
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Must provide three professional references.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests and work orders promptly.
• Prepare apartments for new residents and conduct quality inspections.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, appliances, plumbing, electrical, and building systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimize failures.
• Respond to resident maintenance requests with excellent service.
• Maintain records of work orders and maintenance activities.
• Keep company vehicles, tools, and equipment safe and organized.
• Assist with snow removal as needed.
