Job summary

PPHG is seeking a Maintenance Technician III in Charleston, SC to perform advanced maintenance and repair of HVAC/refrigeration systems, electrical diagnostics, and kitchen equipment service. You will maintain walk-in coolers/freezers, respond to emergency maintenance calls, and support multiple trades across facilities.

The role requires a strong troubleshooter mindset, the ability to work a flexible schedule, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in commercial building maintenance.
• Skilled in light plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance.
• HVAC and refrigeration certifications are a plus.
• Must hold a valid Driver’s License.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Complete all on-call needs and requests as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of general maintenance tasks on buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Establish and carry out preventative maintenance programs using manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain inventory of facilities supplies and purchase as needed.
• Makes routine patrols of assets, grounds, and parking areas with high visibility.
• Be available for a flexible schedule including weekends and emergencies by phone or email.
