Job summary

Helion seeks a skilled Onsite Maintenance Technician in Everett, WA to sustain production equipment for high‑voltage capacitors and modules for fusion reactor systems. You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and improve equipment readiness.

This onsite role reports to the Supervisor of Technical Maintenance and may shift toward multi‑shift coverage as operations grow; strong safety discipline is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands‑on technical maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree/apprenticeship may substitute some experience.
• Electro‑mechanical troubleshooting capability with depth in electrical or mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot 480V equipment, motors, drives, sensors, power distribution, safety circuits, bearings, belts, gearboxes, pumps, valves, pneumatics, hydraulics.
• Ability to read schematics, manuals, OEM docs, and maintenance records to troubleshoot equipment.
• Ability to document maintenance activity in CMMS or similar system; support critical equipment issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work day, swing, night, rotating, overtime, weekend, or on-call shifts as needed.
• Lift up to 49 pounds unassisted; stand/walk up to 12 hours; bend, lift, reach as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair automated and industrial production equipment (e.g., high-voltage test systems, laser welding, soldering, material handling, pumps, presses, conveyors).
• Work safely around industrial hazards using safety controls like LOTO and electrical safe work practices.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and basic controls using schematics, OEM docs, and maintenance history.
• Install, replace, and repair components such as sensors, relays, motors, bearings, belts, gearboxes, pumps, valves.
• Document work in a CMMS with labor, failures, repairs, parts, and equipment history.
• Support emergency repairs and reliability improvement by identifying failure modes and return‑to‑service checks.
• Other duties as required.
