Job summary

SSC Services For Education in College Station, TX is hiring a full-time Senior Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex door systems and architectural hardware across a university campus. You will diagnose failures, propose repair or replacement solutions, and ensure ADA, life safety, and fire door compliance.

Requires at least five years of experience in institutional settings and possession of a Journeyman license.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience servicing commercial door systems and architectural hardware in institutional, healthcare, higher education, or commercial facilities.
• Holds a Journeyman license issued by the State.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications and models to learn work layout.

Responsibilities

• Constructs, finishes, installs, maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical systems.
• Demonstrates advanced diagnostic skills across multiple equipment types.
• Maintains HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems and related equipment.
• Leads a group of workers on a project.
• Teaches maintenance skills to other department members.
• Oversees fleet maintenance and on-campus troubleshooting support.
