Job summary

Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority seeks a Senior Manager of Maintenance (Systems) to lead HVAC, electrical, and plumbing operations across facilities. You will manage preventive maintenance programs, develop standards, and coordinate with contractors to ensure reliable services and safety compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, BMS expertise, ability to read drawings, and a proactive, safety-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Associate/Bachelor-level education in a related field.
• Demonstrated leadership over progressive facility maintenance and operations.
• Minimum Journeyman qualification in at least one skilled trade (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical).
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with diverse groups.
• Proven experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) controls.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans and schematics.
• Knowledge of county, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
• Strong strategic thinking, research, and analytical skills.
• Proactive, solutions-focused leadership with safety emphasis.
• Experience with computers and Microsoft Office applications.
• Must possess and maintain a Nevada driver’s license.
• Completion of OSHA-30 course and ongoing maintenance of certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and evaluate work by HVAC, plumbing, and electrical teams.
• Manage routine maintenance and emergency service on critical systems (diesel generators, UPS, switchgear, lighting, chillers).
• Develop preventive and corrective maintenance programs aligned with codes and standards.
• Establish new operational procedures for engineering teams, vendors, and contractors.
• Develop and implement Building Management System (BMS) schedules to maximize efficiency.
• Assess capital equipment needs and coordinate replacements and upgrades with project information management.
• Provide staff with safety training and ensure regular safety inspections and meetings.
• Assist in preparing operating and capital budgets; estimate repairs and improvements.
• Support People & Culture with labor relations and recruitment activities as needed.
• Respond to emergencies at all hours as required.
