Job summary

Volvo Group is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance activities across equipment, facilities, and support systems. You will oversee technicians, plan preventive maintenance, and drive continuous improvement in a fast‑paced environment.

The role requires strong leadership, troubleshooting, and the ability to coordinate with production, engineering, and safety teams. A strong background in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Five or more years in industrial, manufacturing, or facility-maintenance experience.
• Maintenance leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, manuals, and blueprints.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS software.
• Strong troubleshooting, planning, organization, and decision-making skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead employees across multiple departments.
• Basic computer skills including email and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, schedule, and direct maintenance technicians and contractors.
• Prioritize work orders based on safety, production needs, and resources.
• Minimize downtime by addressing equipment breakdowns safely and promptly.
• Develop, schedule, and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Inspect work for quality, safety, and compliance with standards.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and facility issues.
• Maintain records of repairs, inspections, and parts usage.
• Use CMMS to manage work orders and maintenance performance.
• Coordinate maintenance with production schedules to reduce interruptions.
• Manage outside contractors and ensure safety/quality compliance.
