Volvo Group in the United States seeks a Maintenance Engineer to improve equipment reliability in the Maintenance Engineering group. You will develop maintenance programs for industrial equipment, set strategies for large-scale repairs, manage capital investments, and collaborate across maintenance, production, utilities, and facilities to reduce downtime.
Responsibilities include updating drawings, specifying spare parts, leading improvement projects, and providing troubleshooting support.

The purpose of this position is to work within the Maintenance Engineering group to improve equipment reliability. This position will work to develop our maintenance program as it relates to industrial equipment. This position will be involved in equipment analysis to determine the best method of maintaining the equipment as well as following up to ensure that the methods are giving the desired result. The Maintenance Engineer will also be responsible for setting strategies for large scale repairs or replacement of equipment considering the life span and utilization of the machine. This will also involve the capital investment and project management for these scenarios. The position will work with our CMMS software, Office 365 programs and Power BI to analyze equipment failures and to look for trends in equipment deficiencies. This position will involve working cross functionally with maintenance, production, process, utilities, facilities, and other technical groups to reduce equipment failure frequency. The position will also provide input to project teams to ensure maintainability and plant standards compliance for new equipment being purchased. The position will work within the Volvo Production System and World Class Maintenance methodologies.

Preference given to past maintenance reliability engineering experience.
At the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company’s growth. For this position, the base pay is set at $96,000 - $118,000 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
