Job summary

WinnCompanies is seeking a Senior Maintenance Supervisor to join Village at Brookline, a 193-unit affordable housing community, along with two additional properties in Boston. The role oversees maintenance staff, ensures safety and quality, and manages preventive maintenance programs across properties.

Responsibilities include hiring/training staff, coordinating schedules with vendors, conducting monthly inspections, and supporting capital improvement projects while controlling maintenance

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of apartment/property/building maintenance experience.
• 5+ years of supervisory/management experience.
• General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC maintenance.
• Current driver’s license in good standing with a clean driving record.
• Experience with REAC/NSPIRE inspections.
• Experience with capital improvement projects.
• EPA certification and HVAC certification.
• Basic computer skills with web-based apps.
• Strong customer service and communication skills; ability to work with diverse groups.
• On-call availability to address urgent maintenance needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance staff across properties; hands-on supervisory as needed.
• Assist with hiring, training, development, and staff accountability; participate in weekly meetings.
• Prepare staff and vendor schedules for service requests, PMs, unit upkeep, and curb appeal.
• Conduct monthly building inspections; coordinate repairs after third-party inspections.
• Maintain knowledge of maintenance programs and capital projects; help control expenses.
• Solicit contractor bids with approval from Property Manager and Regional Maintenance Manager.
• Participate in on-call and emergency maintenance during off-hours; perform hands-on maintenance.
