Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA INC is seeking a Senior Facility Engineer to lead maintenance programs in manufacturing operations, improving equipment availability, reliability, and productivity while coordinating with production teams.

You will review mechanical and electrical specs, assess new equipment for maintainability, support installation and commissioning, and mentor other engineers to drive safer and smarter operations.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of repair and maintenance engineering gained through education and professional experience.
• Education in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Experience supporting maintenance, reliability, or engineering activities within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interpret and review mechanical and electrical specifications and evaluate equipment requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects or processes and solve difficult technical problems.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across engineering, maintenance, production, and other teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate maintenance engineering activities to improve equipment availability, reliability, and productivity.
• Review mechanical and electrical engineering specifications to support effective maintenance strategies.
• Evaluate proposed equipment designs for reliability and maintainability.
• Partner with production teams to coordinate repairs and maintenance with production schedules.
• Support safety inspections and help maintain safe manufacturing operations.
• Participate in installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Independently manage assigned engineering projects and address complex technical challenges.
• Coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.
