Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician for the 1st shift in Illinois to independently perform advanced maintenance work and train junior technicians. The role focuses on maintaining assets to meet reliability and quality standards, with the ability to lead root cause analysis and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The position requires a strong background in multiple skilled maintenance functions, CMRT certification preferred, and solid MS Windows proficiency.

Qualifications

• HS diploma with 10+ yrs. Experience or Relevant Certificate with 5+ yrs. experience or Associates technical degree with 3+ yrs. Experience, or proficient in two or more skilled maintenance functions.
• CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) or equivalent accreditation desired
• Plumbing license
• Knowledge and ability to use advanced tools (i.e. machine tools, diagnostic tools, predictive tools)
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows)

• Assists in root cause investigation and reliability centered maintenance analysis
• Capable of training others on tasks.
• Is proficient in multiple skilled trade disciplines and creates or edits maintenance job plans

• Fully proficient in their core function, performing advanced level tasks
• Assist cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization
• Supports continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives within the maintenance organization and/or the site
• Understands and follows all safety and GMP regulations
• Assist cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization
